Andersons celebrate third anniversary at Tenderfoot Motel in White Sulphur Springs

Owners Dean and Liz Anderson are celebrating the third anniversary with the Tenderfoot Motel this week.

Ms. Anderson pointed out that this is not the third anniversary of the motel. It has been around for decades, and the main building has seen several other uses before that. She is proud, though, that they have been able to take over the business and make it thrive.

The Andersons have remodeled the office area, adding a breakfast buffet area, and remodeled most of the cabins. They hope to continue that work this year until they are all up to date. In addition, they have built a new larger cabin at the back, and added the gazebo and landscaped pool area down the center between the cabins.

When asked her favorite incidents so far, Ms. Anderson noted the barbeque held two years ago for the Labor Day rodeo, and the time a guest got overzealous with the whipped cream in the breakfast area and shot it up the back of another unrelated guest.
